Emily is a life long Alaskan, born in Anchorage and grew up in Peters Creek and Homer. She is a mother of two; Soren age 7 and Eveline age 7 months. She has a BA in Communications and Mass Media and a passion for early development in children and outdoor exploration. Emily is on the board of directors of Sprout a non-profit whose core focus is the healthy development of children birth to age 5 and families. Emily grew up playing outdoors, camping, hiking, and exploring. Her main work has been in outdoor retail, outfitting people for adventures. She finds peace and grounding outside and enjoys bringing kids along for these adventures.
